It will be very hard to imagine Exe Valley Contemporary Quilt without Penny's vitality and enthusiasm. She always encouraged us with her vision and eagerness for challenges and projects and her stitched art work was really beautiful, and that was just one aspect of this talented lady.
I will miss her.

I count myself, very lucky to have made a friend like Penny. When she lived in Fawley and we lived in Marchwood. I became a member of the Esso ladies Skittles team of which Penny was the captain. We became good friends and enjoyed many happy evenings and excellent meals at Penny and Duncan‘s house.

Although they spent many years abroad, we never lost touch entirely, and we enjoyed receiving long Christmas letters which often included photographs -we were always amazed at Penny’s energy and the variety of her skills and successful ventures. She never seemed to lose her enthusiasm and loved to organise events.

I will miss her very much.
