Just found this photo among my collection of old slides showing a very relaxed Chris chilling out on Southend beach. He was always very laid back and this shows his character quite well. Underneath was a fine brain, practical skills, and a generous nature. He will be missed.

Only just found out about Chris. We were school-mates and friends all our lives but we moved away and got too old to visit as often as we would have liked. Sad news indeed, although he told us of his serious surgery. I fully expected him to recover and outlive me. He will be missed by both me and Kay my wife. RIP Chris - you were a great and wise friend.
