Uncle Tom knew how to live life and focused on the positive and on the present and future. He moved through life making the most of it and unafraid of change. Something we could all aspire to. A life well lived and loved is something to celebrate and he leaves a gap bigger than he would imagine. Truly rest in peace Uncle Tom xxx Heather

Tom Arnup, brother in law to Milly & Laurie and uncle to Aud & Val Graham who brought laughter, love and brightness into our lives. Tom will be sadly missed but not forgotten. God bless.

Tom Arnup, our brother in law, was enthusiastic, optimistic, had a loud voice, an infectious laugh and a huge personality. He was a Londoner who never quite lost his London accent. He had a varied career, including working on the London Underground’s Royal Mail dedicated line; a spell in the Merchant Navy; a dairyman on farms from Oxfordshire to Cumbria and finally as the village baker in Bellingham. He will be remembered by all who met him. How to sum Tom up? In three words “A one-off”.

My uncle Tom was a larger than life character, once met never forgotten. He was a significant and well loved member of the Bellingham community. I have many happy memories of him and auntie Hazel. His was a life well lived. Gone but not (never) forgotten.
