NormanARROWSMITHSARGE Neil Arrowsmith sadly has to announce the loss of his wonderful fun loving father who passed away peacefully on Friday 27th November at the age of 92. He was a wonderful father and husband who will always be remembered for his humorous character that never failed to create a joyful atmosphere with his jokes and pranks amongst his family, friends and work colleagues in the Derbyshire Police Force where he served as police sergeant and advance driving instructor for many years. Commended for saving the life of a young Derby boy, Melvin Crabtree, from the River Derwent. Also a keen golfer and enjoyed singing in the local barber shop choir. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him and enjoyed his fun loving character, never failing to bring a smile to your face. His funeral service will be held on the 17th of December at 1pm at the Grenoside North Chapel in Sheffield RIP Lyn and Neil Arrowsmith

Norman, just a few words to say thank you for saving my life back on Sunday May 10th 1964, through you God decided to give me a second chance at life, you pulled me from the River Derwent, I had no pulse, and not breathing, to say the least I was dead, but you continued to give me CPR, and after 15 minutes you managed to bring me back, for that I will be extremely grateful.
I have always know that through you and God, I was given a second chance for a reason, as of yet I feel I have not achieved this, maybe it’s one of my children or grandchildren that will do something special (as Gods wish).
Norman God bless you and RIP
