James 'Jim'ASPDENJames 'Jim' ASPDEN passed away on Tuesday, February 4 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 79. James had his own plant and haulage business. He was a freemason. James enjoyed growing chrysanthemums; he won prizes for them. He had an allotment where he also grew fruit and veg and he enjoyed caravanning and holidays in Cornwall and abroad. Husband of Jean, father of Ian and Andrew, grandfather of Alex, Matthew and Lewis, father-in-law of Julie and Andrea and brother of David and the late Jack, Michael and Robert. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 25, at 1pm at St Bartholomew's Church, Great Harwood, followed by burial at Rishton and Great Harwood Cemetery, led by Reverend Graham Birch. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to North West Air Ambulance c/o funeral director Birtwistle & Rishton Funeral Service.
