Gerardine MonicaASPINPEACEFULLY, in the loving care of White Ash Brook Nursing Home, on Monday, March 23, Gerardine Monica Aspin, aged 79, formerly of Clayton-le-Moors. The devoted wife of the late Geoff, Gerry, as she was known, was the loving and much loved mum of Mark, adored mother-in-law of Naomi, cherished grandma of Katie and a much loved cousin of Rosemary, Jo, Christine and Jan. Gerry spent her working life in offices in payroll, working her way up to being head of payroll at Mastabar. With her keen eye for detail and her amazing talent with figures, Gerry was always a well respected member of her working team and made many friends along the way. She also served as treasurer for Accrington Cricket Club for over ten years. Gerry loved sport and was the most avid cricket fan, she supported Accrington Cricket Club and later Church and Oswaldtwistle, one of her proudest moments was when she had Shane Warne in her house for a cup of tea. Gerry also loved football and loved to keep up to date with her favourite team Manchester United. A private family funeral service will be held to give thanks for Gerry's life.
