Gerard MichaelATKINSOn September 11th 2024, peacefully at home. Gerry aged 78 years of Golcar (former landlord of The Wheel Inn). Proud dad of Luci, Daniel and Kate, loving grandad of Dylan, Tom, Violet, Grace, Sam, Emily, Sarah and great grandad of Ethan.

Service and interment at St John's Church, Golcar on Wednesday September 25th at 11.00 am. Will friends please accept this the only intimation. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cancer Research UK and Yorkshire Air Ambulance for which a plate will be provided at the Service.

I was very sad to learn of the death of my cousin, Gerard,
and whilst I am unable to attend the funeral as I live on the south coast, I will certainly raise a glass to him on the day.
As children, Anthony, Gerard and I spent some time together
although sadly we only met at funerals in latter years. I still remember with fear when Gerard and his brother locked me in the cellar at 22 Imperial Road. Not to be repeated. Wendy Coward nee Atkins.
