I only recently learned of Tracey's passing, I am so sad.
She stole my 19 year old heart the first time I saw her, way back in 1989. Our paths crossed most days, walking to and from work. I only spoke to her a few times, just a friendly few words while passing.
In the 90s I sent her flowers and cards, although she was far too beautiful for the likes of me...
In the 2000s, I no longer worked in Stafford and I saw her less and less, to the point where a year or more pass before I would see her again. I was always a distant, shy, admirer.
In about 2016, she passed me in the Post House and with a smile she said "hello". I beamed with glee for the rest of the evening. I wasn't to know that would be the last thing she would ever say to me.
Recently, I had hoped to pluck up courage to speak to her on one of the rare occasions we were both in the same pub. Little did I know that time I saw her laughing with friends in the Swan would be the last.
I never did get to tell her that she was and always will be my one true love.
Rest in peace, beautiful Tracey. x
