Jon was without doubt the best training facilitator I have had the pleasure of working with and more importantly benefiting from in my career to date. His infectious energy and the fact that he just "got it" in terms of what the audience needed was unparalleled. Such sad news and a great loss - RIP Jon

Rest in peace Jon - you were an inspiration - I spent time in two or three leadership courses you led, and enjoyed being part of you fun and thought provoking sessions, and subsequent project work together.

Rest in peace - my thoughts are with your loving family. X

Jon was a great friend and Mentor, I first met Jon in 2005 whilst I was working for Volkswagen Group in Milton Keynes. I worked on many projects with various teams with Jon over the years and became good friends. Jon was a true professional and smart, but I will remember Jon most for being generous and kind. Jon always made time for you. Jon inspired me to go back and study for my Masters and now my PhD. You may no longer be with us Jon but you will never be forgotten. Missed deeply by your good friend Paul V.

I was lucky enough to serve with Jon training recruits at RAF Swinderby in the early 1990s; we shared a house in Lincoln, which was brilliant fun. Jon was a great bloke, with a wicked sense of humour and was fantastic company. I was so sad to hear of his passing; please accept my condolences. Bob Lucas

RIP Jon Boy. Deeply saddened to hear the news. It was a joy to live with Jon over the 4 years we were at Exeter University. He was also my strike partner in the University football team. We met up on numerous occasions afterwards in London, RAF balls and reunions but then as work and family life took over we unfortunately lost contact for a while. So grateful that I managed to see him again in Chester. I have many fond and happy memories of him and will cherish them. He was a fun, caring and kind person that sadly left us too early. My deepest condolence to all his family.

As Jon's predecessor as OC the Resource and Initiative Training Centre I look back on the work he done and the atmosphere that he created as something special there and in many Air Force roles. I was proud to call Jon a friend and will always remember his beaming smile. Sarah my thoughts are with you, your family and Jon's parents.
