EileenBACKHOUSEEileen passed away on the morning of 28th December 2024 surrounded by all her family. She had celebrated her 90th birthday in April of the same year.
The eldest of three siblings, Eileen was born and brought up in Grimsby. She spent many happy and successful years teaching at Lisle Marsden School. She leaves behind her husband Bryan and three children, Carolyn, Deborah and Andrew.
She was quick witted and defiantly independent to the end. She and Bryan eventually moved to Portishead to be closer to family. She made many new friends in the retirement community but remained deeply attached to her roots and never forgot her home town.
