The obituary notice of Peter James BAILEY (Bill)

It has come to the attention of the current board of Wadebridge 34007 Co. Ltd that Bill Bailey sadly passed away earlier this summer. We would like to pass on our condolences to the family and friends of Bill.

Bill was one of the founders of the Wadebridge 34007 co. ltd. He was instrumental in setting up the company and served as a director on the board during the 1980’s and 1990’s contributing in trying to raise funds to restore the steam engine Wadebridge. He eventually saw the results of his efforts when Wadebridge finally steamed on the Bodmin and Wenford Railway in 2006.

I remember the last time I saw Bill was on Arlesford station at the Mid Hants Railway, which Wadebridge now calls her home, he was attending an annual general meeting of the company and I waved goodbye to him as he set off back to Gosport.
