Norma LouiseBAKEROn 24th June 2024, suddenly, Norma aged 79 years of Rishton. The dearly beloved wife of the late Bill, much loved and loving mum of the late Andrea, devoted and dearly loved grandma of Matthew & Alana, Katie & Andy, and cherished great-grandma of Chloe, Ciaran, Frazier and Spencer. Norma will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.

Norma was a beloved and well-known figure at the Weavers Practice, where she dedicated many years of her working life as a devoted Practice Manager, forging numerous friendships along the way. Norma loved shopping and enjoyed frequent trips to Ossie Mills, where she sought out the sparkliest clothes, always looking stunning at the Ladies' evenings at the Masonic Hall or while supporting her late husband Bill as he sang at various venues. In her life, Norma was the most devoted family lady and Norma's greatest joy was her family, to whom she was a the most wonderful mum and grandma. The cherished memories of happy trips to the caravan in Llandudno, shopping adventures, and Saturday morning breakfasts in Accrington will always be treasured. Despite her small stature, Norma possessed incredible strength and was the respected matriarch of her family. She was a strong and definite character, loved and admired by all. At home, she was an avid reader with an extensive collection of books and magazines. She enjoyed watching "Call The Midwife" and everything stopped for Strictly. Her love for long phone conversations with friends and family highlighted her warm and caring nature. Each working day, Matthew, Frazier, and Spencer would promptly pick Norma up at 4:00pm. Norma had always wanted to work until the age of 80, such was her love for her job and people. Her life was a testament to the power of love, and she instilled in her family the belief that anything done with love would last. Norma - remembered with love today and always.

Norma's funeral service will be held at The Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul's, Rishton on Friday 12th July 2024 at 12.30pm followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium.

Donations are being gratefully received in Norma's memory on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice. To make a donation please visit champfunerals.com/obituaries or send to the funeral directors.
