It has been a privilege to have known Howard for well over 50 years - when he and Gill became engaged. We have enjoyed sharing the love of cricket - even when it poured with rain at the Oval and not a ball was bowled - and at Taunton and Sidmouth when fabulous weather gave us a great day's play. We have many happy memories which we treasure.

Howard's sister-in-law and brother-in-law.

Dear Gill, Lisa, Richard,

Howard was such a caring, kind and compassionate man, and I am so very sorry for your loss.

I have so many wonderful memories of Howard from over the years: kindly helping me navigate entries/exits from Bob; answering the door with ‘Richards just up in bed, his mums taken him a cup of tea and he’ll be down in a minute’; listening to the cricket in the garden; the 2CV; warming his hands by doing the dishes; and his subtle dry sense of humour that was second to none. These are just a few.

Howard was always happy and welcoming to me, and my family. I will miss him greatly.

Love always,
Steven
