HarryBALMFORTHEx L.O.R. It is with great sadness that Harry passed away aged 88, whilst in the care of Diana Princess of Wales Hospital on 22nd October. Dearly loved husband of 63 years to Mary. Dearly loved dad to Susan and Amanda and father-in-law of George and John. Loved grandfather to Mark, Mary, Sadie and Mark and great-grandfather to Caleb, Oscar and Ada. A dear brother and brother-in-law to Peter and Malcolm. A private cremation is to take place. Donations in his memory can be made to Dementia UK. Now you're free to play golf any time.

Your influence and guidance for me as a child has helped to shape me into the man I have become today. You always gave me confidence and gentle nurture as a child and your love of technology and games is something I have very much taken to heart, and has certainly helped steer me onto the path I have taken in life, for which I am eternally thankful.
I'm still struggling to believe I live in a world without you, but I know where ever you are now you are at peace and no longer in pain.
We love and miss you dearly.

A thousand years wouldn't be long enough to learn all the lessons and wisdom my grandad had to share. He was the embodiment of what a decent human being was and is. I'm proud to say he's my grandad. He's the only one I've ever and will know. If I turn out just to be half the man he was then I'm complete. Rest in peace grandad. My heart hurts ♡
