Cally JoanneBAMFORDIt is with great sadness that we announce that Cally passed away, at the age of 46 years, on Tuesday 23rd June 2026 at Nottingham City Hospital, after a brave battle against cancer.

The loved and loving wife of Steven, an adored mum to Arthur and Emily, and a dear daughter to Mick and Vera, Cally will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday 14th July 2026 at 1:30pm, at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston On Trent.

All are welcome to attend and are asked to wear their best summer outfits, as befitting Cally's love of floral dresses.

After the service, everyone is invited for drinks and a buffet at the Coopers Arms, Weston on Trent.

Family flowers only, by kind request.

Donations in Cally's memory will benefit Nottingham City Hospital's Oncology Department and Specialist Receiving Unit.

Please leave your messages, memories or light a candle below.

All enquiries via the Funeral Director at their Long Eaton Branch. Telephone: 0115 972 4555.

It was lovely to hear all the stories about Cally on Tuesday. I'd forgotten about her love of period drama outfits!

I was lucky enough to spend some time in Cally's orbit at GT, and she was my manager for a number of years. She was always someone who could lift your spirits, her positivity was infectious.

She was warm, caring and completing authentic, she really did seem to possess some of the qualities of her namesake from Blake's 7, she always seemed highly attuned to the emotions of those around her, instinctively knowing when someone needed encouragement or support and a gift of making people feel "seen", valued and appreciated.

My thoughts remain with all the family and friends as they come to terms with their loss.

Dearest Cally, it’s been some years now since we worked together, but from training for our exams to covering each other’s maternity leave, you were truly a wonderfully generous, kind and genuine person.

Sending so much love to your family, you will be so missed. 💐
