RobertBANKSof Haworth Avenue, Oakley, sadly passed away at home on Wednesday, January 20, aged 99. He was a market trader for many years with his wife Olive up until retirement, and served as an RAF pilot in the Second World War. Bob played cricket for Rawtenstall for many years, and was captain for over five years in the 1960s. He enjoyed playing golf and going on long walks with friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Husband of the late Olive, he leaves daughter Lesley, son-in-law Jim, granddaughters Louise and Linda, their husbands Keiron and Michael, and five great-grandchildren Beth, Troy, Abby, Chloe, and Zak. The funeral will be held on Monday, February 1, at 9.15am at Burnley Crematorium, led by Neil Overton.
