Marian JoyceBARBERPassed away peacefully in hospital on 27th July 2022 aged 97. Loving wife to Mansell (died 28th October 2017). Much loved Mum to Philip and Malcolm, and Grandma to John and Mark. Beloved elder sister to Dorothy, Audrey and Gerald (died 6th May 2007). Marian will be greatly missed by those that knew her, for her kind and generous nature. Having grown up in Edgmond Shropshire, Marian and Mansell settled in Hazel Grove in 1960, where Marian had a 20 year association with Lithopak Ltd. of London Road Hazel Grove. Over the years Marian was involved in Hazel Grove's branch of the Towns Women's Guild, the Wren's Association, and the Caracamp section of the Brookdale Social Club. Late last year Marian moved to Oswestry, to be closer to her sister. The Funeral Service will take place at 3.30pm on 22nd August at Emstrey Crematorium, London Road, Shrewsbury, SY2 6PS Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Alzheimer's Society.
