Devoted wife of the late David Evans (former Butcher of Taibach), also devoted wife of the late Edward Barnes from Margam. Beloved mam of Hugh and Philip, mother-in-law of Christine and Ann, cherished nana of her 3 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Joan worked as a Barmaid in Taibach Working Mens Club and Aberavon Liberal Club for many years. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. The family wish to extend their grateful thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Bridgend and Port Talbot Hospital, also the staff at The Old Vicarage Nursing Home, Tonna. Funeral and burial service on Wednesday 14th July 2021 at Former Holy Cross Church, Tanygroes Place, Port Talbot, SA13 2UY at 2pm. Due to government restrictions there will be a private family service in church, but 30 persons at the graveside.
