DorisBARNETTIt is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the death of a very special woman. Doris passed away on Saturday 7th June 2025 at Hollins Park Care Home, aged 90.
The most cherished wife of the late Mr Peter Samuel Barnett, loving mum to Jennifer, Catherine, Neil & the late Elaine, loved mother-in-law to Mammad, Malcolm & Kerry, much loved grandmar of Jennifer, Emma, Cheryl, John, Gemma, Soraya, Natalie and Rarmeen and adored great-grandmar to many great-grandchildren.
Doris will be fondly remembered for her love of baking, flower arranging, her two border collies and for being a loyal friend to many. She will be most sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.
The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, at 2pm on Tuesday 24th June 2025. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Doris’s life.
The family would like to thank Ward 10 – Orthopaedic Trauma at Macclesfield District General Hospital and Hollins Park Care Home, Macclesfield, and all the staff that cared for Doris during her dementia journey.
We request that instead of flowers, donations can be made to Dementia UK and Hollins Park Care Home, Macclesfield. A donation box will be available at the service, however donations can be sent via the funeral directors. There will be no wake following the service, instead the family will be making a charitable donation in memory of Doris.
