AlanBARRASSPassed away peacefully with his loving Son Graeme and Granddaughter Sarah by his side; Having been well looked after by the staff at Cherry Tree Care Home in Norton. Alan, born and raised in Seaham Harbour, was 93. An adoring Husband of the late Margery and Father of the late Susan. Youngest son of the late Joe and Dorcus, Alan survived all his siblings; his twin sister Ethel as well as Billy, Jack, Simeon, Doris, Jean and Mary. He was Grandfather to Jamie, Victoria, Chris, Claire and the recently late Katie. Great Grandfather of seven. Alan was the last of his generation, he was an accomplished sportsman in his youth, living his latter days in Norton and was a much loved Dad, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, neighbour and friend. 'A gentleman of his time' Sadly missed by all who knew him. Family flowers only please, instead please make donations in lieu of flowers to Dementia UK. Funeral will be held on: Thursday 8th September, 11.30am at Stockton Crematorium in the Bluebell Chapel.
