SamuelBARRYThe Barry family are sad to announce that Sam Barry, has passed away peacefully at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on 17th September 2023, aged 88 years.
Samuel lived in Tapton, Chesterfield, and was formerly of North Street, Derby. Samuel worked as a welder at Fletcher and Stuart's and was a beloved husband to the late Kathleen Barry for nearly 64 years. He loved dancing with Kathleen, singing and playing the accordion, going on walks, and bee-keeping at the farm. He was a much loved father to Eight sons, and was cherished by his Thirteen grandchildren and Five great-grandchildren. Sam will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
His funeral will be held at Annunciation Church, Spencer Street, Chesterfield, S40 4SD on Friday 20th October at 12 noon, followed by an interment at Boythorpe Cemetery, S40 2NX. Please join the family after the service and cemetery at The Olde House, Newbold, S40 4RN.
The Family further wish to invite you to continue the celebration of Sam's life at the Derby Irish Association, Becket St, Derby DE1 1HT from 4pm onwards.
