Joan (Jo Jo)BATESPassed away peacefully in hospital on 19th September, suffered with dementia in later years but that sense of humour remained until the end. Beloved sister, aunt, great aunt and godmother to many. We will all miss our summer visits, games of scrabble and rich tea biscuits in bed. Sleep tight Jo Jo, from all the family. Funeral in Newcastle upon Tyne on Friday 9th October at West Road Crematorium, family and friends flowers only, donations to NSPCC please as a charity close to her heart.

I only found out to day that Jo Jo had passed away. I was her godson and she never missed a birthday or Christmas. I have many great memories of Jo Jo in my childhood, she was so much fun.
RIP Jo Jo Love Neil Spencer xx
