It is with great sadness the family announce the peaceful passing of John Baxter on 21st October 2023, aged 82 at Wythenshawe Hospital, after a short illness. Dearly loved husband of Mary. Much loved Dad to Martin, Raymond and Julie. Grandfather to Andrew, Suzanne, Gemma, Liam and Niamh. Cherished Great Grandfather to Talia, Cora and Myla. Brother to Judy, the late Jill, Rodney, Roy, and Ian. Father-in-Law to Mary and Ruth. A wonderful and devoted family man who will be sorely missed.

Special thanks to the staff at Wythenshawe Hospital and the medical team who cared for John during his short stay.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday 15th November, 12 noon in the Old Chapel at The Manchester Crematorium, Barlow Moor Rd, Manchester M21 7GZ

I always valued your wisdom and advice. You had always been there for me and now I am lost inside that big hole in the Baxter Heart though I gain comfort from the legacy you leave behind….. your wonderful caring family. Thank you for being my loving, caring Brother for so long.
