Much loved husband of Molly, father to Jonathan, Isabelle, Sheila, Helen and the late Alison and Timothy, grandfather and great grandfather. Private burial with family flowers only. An online thanksgiving/memorial service will air on YouTube on 17/5/2020, see linktr.ee/dr.b.memorial for details. The family would gratefully receive any memories or photographs for the service via the above link, and donations can also be made to a charity in his memory. DR Beardsworth was my doctor for many years. Our family remember that he was a great talker - an appointment would often last longer but the talking was often what was just needed.

We are grateful for who he was - first and foremost a man with a strong faith and a true gentleman. We thank God for his life.

It is well over 50 years since I got to know Dr Beardsworth as both a doctor and a fellow Christian. We have remained good friends all these years and my late wife, Audrey and I were greatly encouraged in our walk with the Lord by his wise counsel and friendship.

My two sons enjoyed much friendship and fun with his children during their teenage years. We have been truly blessed by our association with him and his family.

Thanks to Dr Beardsworth I am here today, my mum had a very difficult home birth with me in 1958 and I owe my life to that man
