Mum, it’s been two years today since you had to go. There’s nothing I can put into words that can express just how much we love and miss you. I think of you and Ollie sitting together in the garden in the sun, while Granddad tends to the veg and Nan is baking her wonderful apple pie.

It’s been rough. The house is silent and lonely, nothing is, or will ever the same again without you. Sometimes I sit outside at night and talk to you, sometimes I just weep because I miss you so much, somehow hoping that although I can’t see or hear you, that you can still see and hear me in the darkness.

Craig misses you immensely too, he thinks the world of you. He keeps little bits and pieces that you bought for him in his camper van because they remind him of you. I told him I thought that you’d love that.

Mum, I lost Ollie two days ago on my birthday, to say I'm heartbroken would be an understatement but I made sure that I was the last thing he saw and I told him I loved him and to come find you, he is my last connection to you and I'm blessed to have had 13 years with him, although it's not enough. Please take care of him for me until we are all together again. I love and miss you both so very much.
