A sad loss of a great colleague at N-U-L BC for a number of years. I had the pleasure of taking 2 copies of Graham's book
which he had written , "From Pit Boy to Prime Minister" to Australia where 1 copy sits in Sydney Town Hall and the other in Melbourne Town Hall and a letter of thanks from the then Lord Mayor of Melbourne was received on my return. As the Aussies would say, top bloke Graham.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Graham, who I was fortunate enough to count as a good friend. He was a passionate local historian and prolific author on the subject. During his life he did much to bring the past of the Potteries to a much wider audience. We are the poorer for losing him, but much wiser from the knowledge he gave all of us. Thank you, Graham.
