PamelaBECKETTformerly of Merynton Avenue Pam was born in Stratford in 1945 and raised with her sister, Veronica, by Ezra and Lizzie Paul. She attended school in Coventry and then Phillipa Fawcett teacher training college in London. She started her career in London before moving to Hildesheim in Germany. It was there that she fell in love with her husband, John Beckett, and they were married at Pam's childhood church, St James, in Coventry in 1971. She gave birth to Nicholas in 1975 and Kathryn in 1976. Following John's death in 1980 Pam returned to Coventry and dedicated her life to helping others, teaching primary school children at Leigh, Chase, Annie Osborne and Henley Green until her retirement in 2008. She was a dedicated parishioner at St James church coordinating their work for the Shoe Box charity. Pam is survived by many friends and family who love her and she will be sorely missed by all those who benefitted from her love, guidance and generosity. Pam will be buried in a family ceremony that will be followed by a memorial service at St James Church, Fletchamstead, on Monday 25th February at 1pm to which all are welcome. Rather than flowers please consider a donation to www.butterfly-conservation.org who support the burial site. Pam's favourite colour was red and she'd have loved to see people wearing that at her service.
