Dear Margaret - I just saw this notice and wanted to pass on my deepest sympathies to you. I so enjoyed meeting Leo at one of our reunions...what a wonderful friend and support he must have been to you over the years.
I hope you are keeping well and I don't doubt that you are active as ever. How did we ever get to be this old!

Best wishes, Clare Keane (nee O'Donovan)

Leo was a towering force in Labour politics for well over half a century. A sound advisor and committed socialist who fought hard for a fairer more equal society and the end of poverty - at home and around the world. Now at rest and long remembered.

Leo was the rock on which many relied on to keep them centred. His passionate belief in the Labour Party had not dimmed over the years and we will miss his vitality, enthusiasm, humour, compassion and deep knowledge of all things political.
I extend my and my familie's condolences to Margaret and their family.
