To Dad.
Thank you for the memories, help, support and advice over the 49 years as my 'Dad'. You were there when ever others needed you, and I am forever grateful for the help and support you gave to me and all, to push the boundaries, to push oneself, and to believe in ones abilities in achieving whatever goals are set, no matter how challenging and daunting they may appear.
Thank you for the childhood memories, and fuelling for what was an inquisitive young Engineers mind, who always wanted to know 'How' and 'Why' things worked the way they did, and for encouraging me to explore and navigate a path in the world through all the questions - with a wise fatherly 'nudge' of the Tiller through the waters of life.
Your advice was always encouraging, never mocking, and the kind and gentle support lit a clear light in my head that one can achieve anything if you want it, and that you would never be far away to give support, something for which I am truly grateful in my early academic years in a strange new world, in a strange new city, and what seemed an impossible mountain before me. You helped me climb those mountains, you knew I would climb those mountains and your support and encouragement helped me conquer them.
It is time however for us to take different paths which sadly we must take alone. The memories and experiences will always remain with me, shaped and created by YOU, my Dad, as I continue along the path of life without my fatherly guiding tiller, but you shall always remain on my new path in spirit and in my thoughts.
Rest easy and be proud Dad.
Love.
Andrew.
