MichaelBEERJohn Passed away peacefully on the morning of 14th January 2021 aged 89 years following a stroke a few months earlier. Husband of the late Eileen, father to Nick and Vanessa, grandad and great grandad he will be sadly missed by family and friends. Former baker's roundsman in Hartland, Clovelly and Welcombe he moved to Bideford 40 years ago and worked at Toy Works/Pot Black and finally retired in 1996 from his role as caretaker at Grenville College. He will also be remembered as a keen snooker and whist player and had many lifetime friends from both. Our thanks to all who have contacted us with condolences and their memories of John. Our thanks also to the staff at NDDH who looked after him immediately following his stroke and those at The Warren who have cared for him since. Funeral service will take place at North Devon Crematorium. Family flowers only but donations in lieu if desired which will be split between The Stroke Association and The North Devon Hospice who he was a keen supporter of following their care for his late wife.
