SamBELLIt is with great sadness that David and Alison (Bunny) Bell have to record the death of their younger son, Robert Samuel (known to all as Sam) Bell, on 14th January 2021, at the age of just 56. Sam is survived by his parents, his Sister, Jenny McCloud, and Brother, Joe Bell, nieces and nephew and the many friends that he had in and around Broadstairs. Sam had resided in Broadstairs for many years, and gained many dear and loyal friends, who showed him great kindness. He was invariably happy, outward-going and good company; things were never dull when Sam was about and he was much loved. Sam suffered from Multiple Sclerosis and, if anyone is so minded, a donation to The Multiple Sclerosis Society UK, 372 Edgware Road, London NW2 6DN, in memory of Sam, would be much appreciated.

The whole Friday night gang got together recently to raise a glass to you and remember the good times. You are still sorely missed and we talk about you often, generally in relation to outings, holidays and orange flavoured matchsticks.

I only heard this morning from Sam’s Brother Joe about his passing and I’m completely shell shocked. I’ve known Sam for over 30 years. We met and worked together as estate agents in Islington( and he was a great agent and negotiator) and became a very good friend and confidant. We met regularly at his favourite French restaurant in Islington and I helped him manage his properties too. I’m going to miss our chats and get togethers and sharing a bottle of red with you. RIP dear friend.

You will be greatly & sadly missed by so many people Sam.
If ever you walked into a pub - at a gig maybe or a party perhaps - there was always an extra sense of special joy & happiness.
Rest peacefully my friend x
Dom
