It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Bernard-Pitter, former registered nurse, on Sunday 19th April 2026, age 64 years.
Jean was a loving and devoted wife to her husband John Pitter, and an outstanding mother to her only child, Chevonne Clay. Their bond as mother and daughter was unbreakable and full of adventures.
Jean was known for her vibrant spirit, a laughter that brightened any room she entered. A classy woman, whose unique ability to connect to anyone is undoubtedly unmatched.
Jean was caring towards her family and friends, in particular, her late parents Henly and Alice Bernard who she adored and looked after relentlessly during their declining health.
Jean lived a fulfilling and colourful life pursuing a successful career as a nurse and travelling the world with her friends, daughter and husband. No matter what, Jean kept her Christian faith at the core of her principles and she was very proud of that.
Her love, light and charisma is her legacy and her passing has devastated those nearest and dearest to her.
The family invites all who knew Jean to attend her funeral at the New Testament Church of God, Bristol, BS5 6PR on Friday 5th June 2026 at 11am.
Rest in peace, Jean. You will be missed deeply and never forgotten.
