Sharon, you were an amazing friend / sales rep. Life is so cruel and you were taken so quick from us all. We will miss your chats & laughs we used to have over the last 20 years of knowing you. R.I.P Sharon and we are always chatting about you .

In addition to my tribute to Sharon, I want to share a reading with her loved ones. This reading has helped me during times of grief and I hope sharing this will help Sharon's family and friends too. It's helped me to move away from such grief and sadness to a place where I could instead focus on the time spent together. And I realised that I could still talk to my loved ones in my head and hear what they would have said to me were they still here. The reading follows:

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.
Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Sharon’s passing. Knew her through work, initially through a mutual customer, then as sales colleagues. I had the utmost respect for Sharon professionally and found her to be a very genuine, kind and generous person. As the only females at the time in the Masco sales team, sales meeting break times in the ladies were great for chatting away from our male colleagues and always included me complimenting her on her shoes and asking how she was able to walk in them. Never got an answer to that, just laughter. Sharon will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with her family and friends. Dianne Bennett
