Ronnie line danced her last, shuffling off on the 24th of June 2024, age 80. Ronnie is reunited with her partner in crime, Ray Bessant Sr who passed 3 years ago & on every Mastermind question, ever. She was a much-loved mother to Debbie & Ray Jr. Ronnie's acerbic Scouse wit often belied her warmth (Tog rating18.5) & fierce love. She touched all who knew her, despite restraining orders being in place, leaving an indelible mark on family, friends & traumatised strangers alike. She was selfless in her care of others, full of life, fun & vodka (that she took out of her handbag in the pub) She helped a generation of Dovecot kids have holidays, day trips & a safe place to play during summer holidays.
Ronnie loved & was, in turn, dearly loved by her family, friends & a veritable parliament of Owls. She left MANY stuffed or ornamental, "treasures" but none as lovely as this live one (pictured) a real head turner. Her love and memory will endure. Her owls I took the tip.
Funeral service will be held at Widnes Crem, Friday 19th July, 2:30pm.
