Having a Godfather is like having another Grandad, I am so tremendously lucky to have grown up learning Dennis's particular skill set, teaching us to fish and to bowl, and Brenda fed us on proper broth. I cherish my memories of foraging the hedgerows and fishing the lakes and canals. Dennis took pride in all that he would do, a true gentleman. He earned respect graciously by excelling in all that he would share. A fantastic bricklayer, now I appreciate this practice while I help to build walls for my brother. Fishing, my brother now takes his children and they each enjoy the sport on local pools in fine weather. An invaluable skill for self reliance. He was also a passionate Gardener, now I spend most of my time working the land to yield vegetables and food, much like Dennis did for all the years I have known him. Each skill creates independence and conscientiousness. I will revere who he was to me and my family and aspire to match his humble yet straight talking wisdom. I will miss him so very much.

Dennis was a wonderful caring, quiet person, who was like a Father to me, I've known him for over 50 years and he was an apprentice with my Father at Bill Leake's Builders. He was also like a Grandfather to our sons, Spencer and Declan and will be very sadly missed by us all. He was an invaluable source of knowledge and expertise in all building related issues.
