Neil JamesBIRKSAt rest on Saturday 15th October 2022 at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice. Neil aged 74 years of Blurton. Loving Husband of Jacky, Much Loved Dad of Lee and Daughter in Law Julie, Treasured Grandad to Hannah & Harry, Step Grandad to Natasha and Kyran. Neil will be Forever missed by all his Loving Family and lots of Friends. Funeral service to be held at Carmountside Crematorium on Thursday 10th November 2022 at 1.00 pm. Will all relatives please accept this only intimation and friends kindly meet at the crematorium. Family flowers only please donations preferred and made payable to Animal Lifeline. Mourning clothes not necessary, casual clothing or Neil's favourite colour Turquoise would be welcome. "The Dog Father" will be sadly missed by many; the large number of people attending Neil's service is testament to how many held him in high regard. He styled my mum's hair for over half a century. She would not dream of letting anyone else near her curls. You will always be part of our family history Neil; always in our hearts.

What an exceptional man. We have had some great chats, debates, wind ups and laughter over the 40 years and you were an excellent keeper of secrets. Rest in peace, Neil.
