Our dearest Uncle Boyce, where to start and what to say, to show just how much you were loved and how much you will be missed in our lives. A poet said, ‘an uncle, a bond of faith that time cannot sever, a gift to last all our lives, an uncle is forever’. These short lines sum it up for all of us.
Reminiscing not long after you passed away, we talked about the times you were with us all as a family, the happy times and the not so happy times. You’ve always stepped in to support and help each of us, on so many occasions, far too many to count. We’ve always known we could rely on you, could trust that you’d be there, always the shoulder to cry on, stepping in whenever an emergency or crisis and mum, we know, felt the same too.
Cheeky and funny, thoughtful, caring and affectionate, you and auntie Les have showed us all great love and warmth in so many different ways and at different times, and when we think of those acts of kindness and compassion, we are all deeply touched and know we’re so lucky and privileged to have had ‘our uncle Boyce’.
With all our love Lorraine, Paul, Tom + Katie and Sam; Jackie, Keith, Chris + Johnathan; Debbie, Mike, Alexea + Zeb, Kamara, Ryan + Effie, Brogan and Braelyn; Caroline, Rob, Jess, Connor and Callum. xxxx
