She died peacefully of natural causes at her home in Sussex. Honor was best known for her roles as Cathy Gale in The Avengers and as Bond Girl Pussy Galore in 1964's Goldfinger.
The star also portrayed the goddess Hera in Jason and the Argonauts and Laura West in 1990s sitcom The Upper Hand. Honor also starred in many theatrical productions, including The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady and Cabaret.
More recently, Honor has toured her own show, Honor Blackman As Herself, in which she looked back at her life and career.
She also enjoyed a singing career, with her recording of song Kinky Boots with her Avengers co-star Patrick Macnee, which referred to the boots she wore in the show, becoming a surprise hit. Honor was married twice in her life, first to Bill Sankey from 1948 to 1956. She later married British actor Maurice Kaufmann, and together they adopted two children, Lottie and Barnaby.
After her divorce from Maurice in 1975, Honor never remarried and said that she preferred to stay single.
She had four grandchildren. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.
