I met Martin in 1973 when I joined the London Borough of Barnet. We shared an interest in all things practical and I have yet to meet anyone else with such a wide range of skills.
He was very generous with those skills and taught me a lot of them. I only have to look around me for reminders of what he could do.
I enjoyed his help, his friendship and his sense humour over the many years that we worked together and know that he will be greatly missed not only by me but by all who knew him.

My Dear Martin,

I have known you ever since I set foot in this great country, since1978.
You have always been kind, respectful, affable and helpful to me. I remember your fish keeping days and how I got got addicted to that hobby too.
I am grateful for our friendship and your help all those wonderful years.

I will miss you my dear friend, for ever.

Joseph.
