Alan RichardBLAKEDied Tuesday 27th December 2022 after a short illness, aged 96 years. Devoted husband to Lesley, beloved father to Alayne, Piers and Myles. Former Headmaster at High Street School, Stonehouse, Plymouth. Funeral service at St Mary's Church, Plympton on Friday 20th January at 11.15am, followed by an opportunity to celebrate his life together at 12.30pm at the Plympton Conservative Club, 109 Ridgeway, Plympton, PL7 2AA. Rest in peace Sir! You gave me my first ever school prize and the confidence to believe in myself. When I was 8yrs old you placed me in a class of 11yrs knowing I could cope, I truly believe anything I achieved stemmed from that decision and 40 yrs later I never forgot you, nor will any pupil of High Street.
