NormanBLIGHTMr Norman Raymond Blight, formerly known as Norman Raymond Tregartha, of Warwick Street, Church, died on Thursday, December 17, aged 66. Norman worked for a number of years as a motorway maintenance operative, before taking early retirement to become a full-time carer for his daughter Claire. Norman loved fishing and dog walking. He also liked to socialise with friends in the Canine and Platts WMC. He enjoyed a game of snooker with his son Matthew. Norman was very much a handyman; he could turn his hand to almost any household chore. Norman was the husband of the late Julie, and father of Claire, Matthew, and Damian. He was also a brother to Rowland, Pauline, Peter, Ann, and Sheila, and a dear brother-in-law and good friend to many. The funeral was held on Wednesday, January 6, at Accrington Crematorium Chapel, led by Neil Overton. Donations if desired to the Stroke Association c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
