JoyceBLUNSTONERetired clerical secretary Mrs Joyce Blunstone, of Aysgarth Drive, Accrington, died on Friday, June 5, aged 74. Joyce worked as a secretary for English Electric after completing her secretarial course atAccrington college. She worked for many employers, including Lancashire Probation Service and Lancashire County Council. Devoted wife of the late Geoff Blunstone, to whom she was married for 45 happy years, Joyce leaves her children Cathy and Steven, son-in-law Michael, daughter-in-law Erica, and grandchildren Jacob, Alanah, Alex and Amelia. Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends, of whom she had many. She loved sunshine holidays abroad and holidays in England. She also enjoyed her music, particularly sixties, along with shopping and eating out. Thanks to East Lancs Hospice, Dr Hogg and his oncology team and Peel House Medical Centre. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 16 at 11.30am at Our Lady and St Michael’s Church, Longridge. Family flowers only and donations can be made to East Lancs Hospice c/o Hyndburn Funeral Service, Queens Road, Accrington.
