From Claire Richards (nee Hockaday). So sad to hear that Tony had passed away. He and Betty were my godparents. Mum and Dad (Anne and Jack Hockaday ) myself and my brother Lewis would visit them in Callington. We came from Newton Ferrers Devon. I remember Alison and Jeffrey their children. We loved to go out and see them and would visit relatives of Tony and Betty on a small holding too. I know that Tony loved his cars and always hoped to catch up with him sometime, but sadly it wasn't to be. Very shortly before he passed away I had looked up his cottage in Lamerton with a view to visiting him, and then sadly saw his obituary in the papers. That is a lovely photo of him.....just how I remembered him. Mum and Dad now live in Cornwall just down the road from us in Millbrook, and send their deepest sympathies too. I am so sorry not to have met up with him again. xx
