JeanBOOTHof The Mount, Cowpe, passed away at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on November 18, aged 79 years. Jean started work at the Tax Office, training to be a Tax Inspector. She worked in the family business The Baby Shop in Waterfoot, then worked at Rossendale General Hospital - office staff in admin then worked at Gas Kills. She then worked as an auditor for Halliwell & Horton and then to Kingfisher House in the accounts department, later retiring from J&J Ormerods. Jean enjoyed cooking, socialising and was a member of the Soroptimist and a confirmed lifetime honorary governor at BRGS. Jean leaves her husband Michael, daughter Jo, son-in-law Matthew, grandchildren Alyssa, Archie and Ashden, cousins Maureen and Stephen and Peter, brother-in-law Peter, sister-in-law Margaret, brother-in-law Les and sister-in-law Alison and nephews and nieces. A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, December 7 at St James the Less RC Church at 10.30am followed by a cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 12.25pm. Family flowers only, donations to Cancer Research UK.
