With great respect and admiration, I pay tribute to Gavin, who served as the Chair of the Dumfries and Galloway Society for the Deaf for many years. Gavin’s dedication to the deaf community was both profound and inspiring. His passion and unwavering support for our cause helped to shape and strengthen the services and support available to the deaf community in Dumfries and Galloway.

During his tenure, Gavin demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer guidance, and champion the needs of those he served. His efforts laid a strong foundation upon which we continue to build today.

As the current Chair, I have had the privilege of following in Gavin’s footsteps. His legacy is a constant reminder of the impact one person can have. Gavin’s vision and tireless work have left an indelible mark on our community, and his contributions will be remembered with deep gratitude.

Gavin’s advocacy spirit and genuine care for others have set a standard for us all. We are better for knowing him; his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us as we move forward.

Rest in peace, Gavin. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of all those you have touched.
