JoanBOURKEOn Monday, January 8, Joan died peacefully in Clitheroe Hospital at the age of 96 years. The dearly loved wife of the late Fred Bourke, devoted mother of David and Denise, dear mother-in-law to Michael and Jo, precious grandam to Laura, Rachel and Siobhan and treasured great-grandmother to Joseph, Thomas, Sam, Ashley and Wren. After leaving school at the age of 14, Joan worked at Howard and Bullough as an errands girl. She later went onto work at Barlow’s Factory in Church as a weaver where she made many friends. Joan loved to dance and enjoyed many holidays with her family. Joan will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends. A Requiem Mass will be held at St Mary’s RC Church in Oswaldtwistle on Thursday, January 25 at 12pm, followed by a burial at Dill Hill Lane Cemetery in Accrington.
