David was a good man, friend and member of the Gnosall Phoenix Club. He continually encouraged me during my chairmanship of the club and we shared our farming knowledge. Through my contacts I was able to donate some of his home tools etc to Tools for Self reliance - for onward use in Africa where they'll be used again. I thoroughly enjoyed is company, tales and anecdotes. Love and Condolences to all his family.

Still coming to terms with the fact that we have lost such a special man. His many tributes given show the strength of feelings expressed by so many. I will surely miss him being in my life. Much love to Margaret Andy and Brooke at this sad time.

It was a pleasure to have met David on a few occasions over the years when he was visiting Andy in Australia with Margaret. He was such a gentleman and good company with a great sense of humour. It was only a few months ago David sent me a lovely message when my mum passed away. My thoughts are with his family and close friends at this sad time, especially Margaret and Andy. Cherish the happy memories. May David rest in peace.

David was a wonderful man and the first friendly face to welcome us to Ranton over 26 years ago. He was always at hand when we needed help in the garden and we had many chats about life and the Wolves! His thoughtfulness and kindness shone through always and his Ranton stories will live long in the memory. God bless to Margaret and the family. Chris and Jane Arnot xx
