Cecil FrancisBOWENApril 3, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil Francis Bowen, aged 86. Cecil died at Darent Valley Hospital in Kent peacefully in the arms of his daughter Ruth and son-in-law Mark. Cecil was born in White Friars, Chester and lived most of his early life in Hoole before moving to Great Boughton after marrying Mary Smith in 1966. From 1974 he ran a successful Finance and Insurance Consultants based in Hoole (Bowen and Co) and also owned the Aldersey Arms in Tattenhall, before moving on to international finance and project management work. He retired in 2010. The family would like everyone who knew Cecil, to know they are most welcome to join a celebration of his life at Caldy Valley Church, Great Boughton, Chester on Thursday 27th April 2017 at 10.00am. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, will go to "The Cecil Bowen Memorial Fund" the charity which is being set up in his memory to support disadvantaged children and adults in the Hoole area.
