I will miss Brian greatly, he was a best friend to me and we had been pals since I was six years old. Myself, Brian and Grant would often be found playing at the common, everything from building dens, climbing trees etc. Later on Brian and I would go to St Aidens disco during the punk era, Brian had more records/CD's than anyone I ever knew.
We all used to drink down at Brooks in the Ferry, there would be myself, Brian, Grant, Val, Bob, Ma & Cel and of course we would all end up drunk and heading along to the Sands/Buddies.
There is so much I could write here about Brian and what a kind soul he was, he would do anything for you or his family.
I now live in Australia and we have never lost touch. He was always there when I came home. My visits home will never be the same without him and my thoughts are with his family.
"Dear Minter (Brian) the Whitfield Boot Boy (Ross) misses you, I'll catch up with you on the other side and we can have a swally."

I will never forget Brian - he will be missed by so many, not least by his loving wife Audrey and their wonderful boys.

He loved Scotland, the outdoors but most of all he loved his family - he also liked the odd Whisky!! and he made a mean curry.

I remember his hospitality, humorous and fun loving nature. I would often bump into him while he was visiting his Mum round the corner from us - he was usually helping her out with the 'odd job' we would always have a quick chat.

Always loved, never forgotten

Deeply saddened to here the news of Brian's untimely death. My thoughts are with his family & friends. Andrew Scott - just an old school pal from the Ferry.
