Edna was my father’s youngest sister and was my first visitor on the day I was born 17th September 1946 as she was a nurse in London. She became my godmother and I followed her into nursing becoming a SRN in 1968. It’s been a pleasure having you in my life.

Though I didn’t know you very well, I heard so many beautiful spoken words about you, particularly from my late Nana.

To my family, who have lost their Mum, Nana, Great Nana and those who loved Edna, I send you all my love and strength at this time.
